Sonya Keller

Professional Background: 

Sonya began her work at Stanford in 2007 and has a background in higher education administration, business process analysis, and quality assurance. Prior to Stanford, she was at Harvard University where she was the Faculty Services Coordinator for the Sociology department. Before entering academia, Sonya was a consultant in sales, marketing, and service with The Fisher Group (Beverly, MA) and a Senior Program Coordinator in Clinical Quality Improvement at Tufts Health Plan (Watertown, MA).

Why I am at SCOPE: 

I believe that good education is a fundamental human right and has the ability to change lives, elevating the oppressed like nothing else I have witnessed.  Personally, my own public school education provided me with tools I would not have otherwise received and allowed me to create the life that I chose to lead rather than the one prescribed for me. I believe that same experience should be available to everyone. SCOPE’s mission aligns with and powerfully focuses on attempting to make that belief a reality.

  • Co-running the professional learning community for California Performance Assessment Consortium (CPAC) project
  • Re-joining the SCOPE team as the Manager of Research,Documentation, and Publications
