Leadership Development in California

More than two decades of research has established the importance of school leadership as a factor in improving academic achievement. This study addresses the question that naturally follows: If leadership matters, how can it be developed?

"Getting Down to Facts" is a research project designed to provide California’s policymakers and other education stakeholders with comprehensive information about the state’s school finance and governance systems, and lay the groundwork for a conversation about needed reforms.
