In this short interview, Frank Adamson and Linda Darling-Hammond discuss their research on funding disparities and the inquitable distribution of teachers.
Adamson and Darling-Hammond published a report with Education Policy Analysis Archives in November 2012 titled "Funding Disparities and the Inequitable Distribution of Teachers: Evaluating Sources and Solutions." The study examines how and why teacher quality is inequitably distributed, by reviewing research and examining data on school funding, salaries, and teacher qualifications from California and New York—two large states that face similar demographic diversity and educational challenges.
